SIT REP 1: August 1, 2026, 2045 PT

A rash of brush fires and a commercial fire broke out earlier today throughout the Spokane, Washington area, where heavy winds picked up embers and began spotting to various areas. Radio traffic and information reported online matched what we heard in how fire was catching nearby structures on fire, with one being a Sports complex engulfed in flames and more fires continued to break out. Here is some of the activity currently occurring:

FAIRVIEW FIRE | E. Piper Road

Incident #WANES-1852. Dispatched 8/1/2026 1412 hours PT. Resources: AR 7411, AR 60, DNR 33, NE 25, C 301, FP 19, FP 15, and E 6697. They arrived on the scene at 1420 hours PT. The fire is northeast of the City of Spokane. 500 acres. 0% containment. EVACUATIONS ARE IN EFFECT.

WHITE WATER FIRE | Downriver Drive

Incident #WANES=1847. Dispatched 8/1/2026 1330 hours PT. Fire has been controlled and firefighters were able to hold it to less than one acre. (0.2). CONTROLLED

OLD TRAILS FIRE formerly EUCLID FIRE | W. Euclid Road, Spokane.

Incident #WANES-1845. Dispatched 8/1/2026. 1159 hours PT and arrived on the scene at 1213 hours PT. Resources: E 6498, E 551, NE 97, DNR 34, DUVALL TF, AR 7408, NE 90, AR 7406, NE 02, NC 7306, AR 27, C 7440, AR 7402, AR 7405, E Zone 10, E 562, and DIV 51. The fire is located northwest of the City of Spokane. 2,500 acres, 0% contained. EVACUATONS ARE IN EFFECT.
