A rash of brush fires and a commercial fire broke out earlier today throughout the Spokane, Washington area, where heavy winds picked up embers and began spotting to various areas. Radio traffic and information reported online matched what we heard in how fire was catching nearby structures on fire, with one being a Sports complex engulfed in flames and more fires continued to break out. Here is some of the activity currently occurring:

WHITE WATER FIRE | Downriver Drive

Incident #WANES=1847. Dispatched 8/1/2026 1330 hours PT. Fire has been controlled and firefighters were able to hold it to less than one acre. (0.2). CONTROLLED
