FIRE INCIDENT SUMMARY, STATUS
Firefighters on the Baker Canyon Wildfire, that originated 28 miles NE of Douglas, Arizona has now reached a 90% containment status.
Most of the fire activity is located on the New Mexico side. Altogether, 7980 acres have been consumed.
Command is being transferred BLM Gila District with the support of two (2) Type 6 Engines on March 28, 2016.
All other resources will be demobilized by March 28, 2016.
The fire ignited on the inside the State of Arizona on March 21, 2016. The cause is still under investigation and there is no preliminary known reason on how it all began.
No injuries have been reported.
