ALASKA

UPDATE | #McHughFire – 2 miles SE of Anchorage, Mile 111 Seward Highway.

Mat-Su Area Forestry, DOF. . Started on BLM land  Medium logging slash. 842 acres. 7% contained.

113 personnel.

TFR over fire in effect.

 

CALIFORNIA

UPDATE | #BakerFire – Off Baker St & School St near Copperopolis .

Start 7/21/2016 @ 1506 Hours. 100% contained. 57 acres.

NEW FIRE |  #BradleyFire – off Highway 101 and San Antonio River, south of Bradley .

25 acres. Little information available.

UPDATE | #RoblarFire – On Camp Pendleton, Off Roblar Rd & Case Springs. San Diego County.

Start 7/21/2016.  800 acres. 35% contained.

NEW FIRE |  #RockFire – off Highway 67 & Rockhouse Road, near Ramona. San Diego County. 

20 acres. Acreage decreased due to more accurate mapping.  5% contained. Cause determined to be a car fire that spread to nearby brush.

NEW FIRE |  #SandFire – NB Hwy 14/Sand Canyon Road. Los Angeles County. Angeles NF.

Started 7/22/2016 @ 1415 hours. Cause is unknown and under investigation.   2,500 acres.  0% containment.  Fire behavior is very active and heading towards Little Tiyunga Road.

300 personnel assigned.  Fire Management is in Unified Command between USFS and LACoFD.  29 engines, 12 hand crews, 5 helicopters, 8 fixed wing aircraft, 2 dozers.

Shelter for Large Animals:  Pitchess Detention Center (Jack Bones Equestrian Center), 29320 The Old Road, Castaic.

 UPDATE | #SerpaFire – NE of Coarsegold. Madera County.

Start 7/21/2016 @ 1253 Hours PDT

80 acres. 70% contained. All evacuation orders lifted.

26 engines. 5 Dozers. 6 Water Tenders.

NEW FIRE | #SoberanesFire – 5 miles South of Carmel and Garrapta State Park.

Monterey County. Rapid Rate of spread.

900 acres. 0% contained.

NEW FIRE | #StorksbillFire = near Pilot Hill. El Dorado County.  Start 7/22/2016 around 1340 hours PDT.

60 acres. 60% contained.  All evacuations Storksbill Rd & Hound Hollow Rd. have been lifted.

UPDATE | #TableTopFire (CA)  Table Rock Rd & Harry Cash Rd, Montague.

 

COLORADO

UPDATE | #BeaverCreekFire  – Routt NF. 24 mi NW of Walden.

Start 6/19/2016. Cause unknown and under investigation. Timber and brush.

25,491 acres.  5% contained.  Moderate fire behavior exhibiting isolated torching, short-range spotting, smoldering and creeping.

215 personnel assigned

UPDATE | #HaydenPassFire  –  21 mi SW of Colorado Springs. 20 miles SE of Salida.

Started 7/8/2016.  Hardwood slash, brush and tall grass. Lightning caused. 16,489 acres. 55% contained.

Rocky Mtn Blue Team IMT. 354 Personnel.

IDAHO

UPDATE | #PioneerFire – Boise NF. IMT 2 (Rosenthal). 5 miles North  of Idaho City.

Timber and grass.  2,000 acres.  Reported on July 8th @ 1700  hours. 20% contained.

Type 2 IMT assumed command on Friday, July 22nd.  300 Fire personnel.  More resources are being called to this fire and diverted from the MM14 fire to this incident including a Type 1 Heavy lift helicopter.

Fire is moving in a Northerly direction.  More resources are on order.

MONTANA

UPDATE | #BlueLakeFire  – 10 miles SW of Ennis, 1.5 miles South of the Axolotl Lake.

Start 7/21 @1445 hours. Lightning caused. 314 acres. 0% contained. On private land and BLM lands. Burning in grass, sagebrush and heavy timber.

15 personnel.  4 engines (2 are USFS, 2 Madison County VFD). 1 MT DNRC Type 2 Helicopters. 2 Air tankers. 2 Hand crews (on order).

Air tankers making retardant drops. Fire Managers are assessing current situation to determine best fire suppression tactics.

NEVADA

NEW FIRE | #LittleDenFire – 45 miles SW of Austin.

Start 7/20/2016 @ 1030 Hours. Human caused.  Pinion-Juniper with stands of grass and sagebrush. 3,200 acres. 30% contained.

225 personnel.

Concerns of military and fire suppression aircraft in the area.

NEW FIRE | #PintoFire – 15 Miles Southeast Of Eureka. 

Start 7/21/2016 @ 1215 hours. Cause unknown & under investigation.  Fire managed by Rosetty,   Short grass, brush and timber.  1902 acres.  30% contained.

Type 3 IC Zumont, Type 3 IC Trainee.  131 personnel.

Fire is smoldering and creeping with short duration runs in priority sage grouse habitat. Firefighters to continue to establish fire lines.

WYOMING

UPDATE | #ArdenFire – Big Horn NF.  About 35 miles East of Greybull, Wyoming, near Shell Reservoir and Lake Adelaide.

Detected on 7/19/2016.  10% contained. 523 acres.  Cause is unknown and under investigation.

4 – 20-person hotshot crews, 2- 20-person hand crews, 3 engines, and 2 helicopters

NEW FIRE | #HatcheryFire – Big Horn National Forest.

Discovered 7/22/2016 @ 1300 hours. 2,600 acres. Burning on private lands and lands administrated by BLM, Worland Field Office and Big Horn National Forest. 0% contained.

US 16 is closed from Wyoming Highway 435 to the Sheep Mtn. Road.

60 Firefighters. 1 VLAT. 2 Type1 and 1 Type3 helicopters working on fire now.  Additional resources are on order.
