SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – A series of wildfires broke out in Spokane County, Washington this weekend beginning on Friday, June 8, 2018 into Sunday, June 10, 2018 around noon.
Fire resources were dispatched on Friday, June 8th at 1237 hours PDT to East Oregon Road for a brush fire. The IC (AR 414) arrived on-scene. No time of containment or when it was controlled is known but this fire was put out at 0.2 acres. It is currently in patrol status.
Arrowleaf Spot Fire
Fire crews were deployed on Friday, June 8th around 2330 hours to Arrowleaf Lane. Crews quickly stopped the forward rate of spread and quickly contained the fire at 0030 hours on June 9, 2018 and putting it out at 0135 hours. 0.01 acres.
Riverside Spot Fire
A fire broke out on Saturday, June 9, 2018, prompting personnel to be dispatched at 0806 hours to the Riverside State Park. The fire destroyed 0.01 acres of grass and duff. Crews contained this fire at 0905 hours and put it out at 0910 hours.
Bradshaw Wheat Fire
Crews were dispatched on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 0958 hours for a wildfire burning in Spangle. AR 63 on-scene. Limited information received on this fire but we do know a total of 0.01 acres were destroyed.
Due to the timing of this article being posted, the day is young for more wildfires and we will do another update if more wildfires are detected.

Please do your part, make sure all of your campfires are completely put out. Fires and winds do not mix and often are the cause of wildfires.
