VANTAGE, Wash. -UPDATE 3 – 0600 hours PDT

INCIDENT SUMMARY –> Date / Time Started

A wildfire named the RYEGRASS COULEE FIRE for its location in Ryegrass Coulee in Vantage, Washington started last night on Monday, July 9, 2018 with first resources dispatched at 2302 hours.

INCIDENT –> Current Fire Status

Fire is currently at 300+ acres in grass and brush.  There is a 0% containment status at the moment.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office just released this photo as viewed from the SR243, south of the Vantage Bridge near Wanapum Dam.    Blowing embers are crossing over the Columbia River and Grant County Firefighters are in structure protection mode.   So far, no fires have been reported.
