THUMB FIRE

BIA – Truxton Canyon Agency.  33 miles NW of Grand Canyon Village ; 9 miles NE of Supai  75 miles SE of Saint George, Utah.  Start 7/17/2020.  Natural cause. Brush and short grass.   Moderate fire behavior.  Creeping, smoldering and isolated torching.  1,700 acres. 0% contained.  4 personnel. 1 helicopter.  $6,000 CTD.

BIGHORN FIRE

USFS. Coronado National Forest. 5 miles NE of Tucson and burning in the Catalina Mountains, NW of Tucson. Start 6/5/2020 2222 Hours.

79 personnel. 1 crew, 4 engines and 1 helicopter.   Minimal fire behavior.  119,741 acres. 90% contained.  Creeping and backing. Road/trail/area closures in effect.   2 structures lost. $44.5 Million CTD.

BLUE RIVER 2 FIRE

BIA.  San Carlos Agency.  Apache Reservation. IMT 2 (SW Team 4) Start 7/13/2020. Lightning caused. North of Warm Springs and 15 miles NE of San Carlos.  Lightning caused.

Minimal fire behavior.  Smoldering and creeping. Structures threatened. Road/area closures in effect. 27,623 acres. 12% contained.  492 total personnel, including 5 crews, 5 engines and 4 helicopters.  $2 Million CTD.

BRINGHAM FIRE

USFS. Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.  Burning on Clifton Ranger District. Start 7/6/2020.  Lightning caused.  22 miles N of Morenci.  Timber, brush and short grass.

HORSE FIRE

BLM – Gila District.  Start 7/11/2020.  Lightning caused.  228 acres.  50% contained.  Being managed by SE Zone Typ 3 IMT. IC:  Darrell Howell. Also, managing over Jackson Fire.

JACKSON FIRE

Jackson Fire-evening of July 14, 2020

BLM.  Gila District. 18 miles W of Pima, 67 miles NE of Tucson and13 miles SW of Fort Thomas.  Discovered 7/12/2020.  Natural cause. Moderate fire behavior.  Smoldering.  2,946 acres. 70% contained.  111 personnel.  3 crews, 1 engine and 2 helicopters.  Structures threatened. Road/trail and area closures in effect. Rain fell over the fire line on Friday.  $959,000 CTD.

MANGUM FIRE

USFS. Kaibib National Forest.  24 miles SE of Fredonia. Start 6/8/2020.  Minimal fire behavior.  Smoldering.

POLLES FIRE

USFS. Tonto National Forest. IMT 1 (SW Team 2). 13 miles W of Payson.  Start 7/3/2020.  Lightning caused.

YANKEE JOE FIRE

USFS.  Tonto National Forest. 20 miles N of Globe.  425 acres. 75% contained. 9 personnel. 1 engine. $20,000 CTD.

VALLEY FIRE

29,628 acres. 100% contained. 137 total personnel. 6 crews. 5 engines. 1 helicopter. 2 structures lost.  $686,000 CTD.
