UPDATE 2: 1800 PT

CAL FIRE has issued mandatory evacuations for all residents in the Butte Mountain Road rea. The road will be closed to all the public, except for emergency vehicles only.

Evacuation warnings have been issued to all residents in a two-mile radius around the fire and centered around Lake Tabeau.

The Amador County Animal Response Team or ACART has been activated to help with the intake of large and small animals that residents may bring to the Amador County Fairgrounds.

INTEL 12 has mapped out the fire at 393 acres.

UPDATE 1: 7/4/2022 1713 PT

The ELECTRA FIRE is burning in dry grass in the North Fork of the Mokelumne River drainage, which ignited at 1615 hours PT on July 4, 2022.

The cause is unknown at the time of this post.

The Jackson Fire Department is reporting the fire between 75-100 acres with a dangerous rate of spread.

There is a 0% containment status.

Structure triage was requested for Charamuga Ranch and evacuation warnings for Clinton and Ponderosa at 1700 hours (5pm). Mandatory evacuations are in effect for Butte Mountain Road and Electra Road is closed to all traffic per the California Highway Patrol.

At 1644 hours PT, an order for 10 engines, two crews, and two water tenders was requested for Branch 2, which is on the Calaveras/CAL FIRE TCU side. The fire had crossed over into the Calaveras County area per Air Attack 440. (1640 hours PT)
