Shelly Fire
The SHELLY FIRE ignited on the afternoon of July 3, 2024, around 1330 hours PT but due to the high temps, the fire is now starting to spread and cause an intensity with the observed increased behavior.

It is burning in the Marble Mountains Wilderness in the Klamath National Forest at Shelly Lake, California.
Level 3 Evacuations are in Effect (as of 7/7/2024 1500 hours) –> SIS 2301 (Fire footprint), SIS-2200 (South of Kidder Creek Road), SIS-2102 (North of Kidder Road) by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office. (Source: https://protect.genasys.com/search)

As of this update, the fire has burned about 1,193 acres and has a 0% containment status, said U.S. Forest Service Fire Officials.
