JULY 25, 2026, 1830 PT

The VARGAS FIRE started this afternoon at 1401 hours PDT at the top of Vargas Road in Fremont (Alameda County), California, from an unknown cause, which is under investigation.

Currently, the fire has burned about 10 acres. There is no containment status on this incident.

The Lead Fire Agency is: CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit.

According to Fire Officials, the forward progression has been stopped.

Due to this being a fairly new incident, we are waiting for an update.

The cause is under investigation, and a preliminary has not been released.
