EPHRATA, Wash. – Fire crews from Grant County Fire Districts 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13 and Ephrata Fire Department have been deployed to a brush fire as mutual aid for an out-of-control wildfire on SR 17 and on High Hill (see video). Video Credit | Grant Co FD 13
Firefighters from the same Grant County Fire District 13 had deployed earlier into Fire District 7’s area which was said to have been a large wildfire which started on SR 17 near Milepost 81 per their 1725 hours post.
The fire was said to be wind-driven that has crested the ridge and pushing east towards Roads 26 and A NE. A county page for all resources has been requested.
As of 2014 hours PDT, Level 3 evacuations are in effect for all homes on the east side of SR 17 North, from Milepost 91 south to city of Soap Lake.
Level 3 means you are in immediate danger. Take your pets, your family and load them up in your vehicle and GET OUT safely.
PLEASE do not stay behind. LEAVE when you are given orders. DO NOT put other lives in danger of them trying to protect yours.
