WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. – A wildfire has ignited on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Whitman County.


The wildfire is burning about 12 miles northeast of Clarkston about 306 miles north of Seattle.


Local and State resources have been deployed and approved for this wildfire incident.

Incident Cooperators are WA DNR, WA State Fire Marshal’s Office, SE WA IMT

Fire Status

Fire is about 10 acres in size with a 0% containment.  It is burning along the Snake River and making runs up a canyon in very difficult and steep terrain.

IC has requested hand crews as additional resources.


There are no evacuations at this time.

There are current threats to crops, infrastructure, homes and outbuildings.
