Update 1 – 6/7/2020 – Sunday
Incident Summary
The HUNTERS FIRE started this evening around 2040 hours PT and is located off of Hunters Valley Road and Detwiler Road, northwest of Bear Valley (Maricopa County), California.
The first due reported 50 to 70 acres w/ moderate-critical ROS burning to the south down canyon, 5 structures out in front of it.
Resources
Aircraft included these air tankers T78 T79 T80 T82 T83 T88 all working the fire. Large air tankers were unavailable. (2016 PT)
Current Fire Status
At 2120 hours, the IC reported fire holding to 200 acres, with a 5% containment status. Additional resources on order are: 8 type 3 engines, 4 handcrews, 3 water tenders & 1 dozer.
No longer needs air tankers in the morning, only Air Attack and 2 helicopters.
Evacuations
Mandatory evacuations for 7900 block of Hunters Valley Road. (South of Lake McClure) and hard closures on Hunters Valley Road at Bear Valley Road.
It’s unclear if there is an evacuation shelter opened for evacuees.
