Update 1 – 6/7/2020 – Sunday

Incident Summary

A 4th alarm wildfire named the QUAIL FIRE started on Saturday, June 6th at 1636 hours PT is located on Quail Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road, southwest of Winters (Solano County), California.

Current Status

The fire has burned 1,837 acres and has a 40% containment status.  3 structures have been destroyed:  1 home, 1 commercial and 1 other.

The cause of this fire is unknown and under investigation.

Resources

There are 600 personnel along with 7 crews, 30 engines and 9 dozers. Lead Agency is CAL FIRE – Sonoma – Lake – Napa Unit. Agencies represented include: Solano County Fire, Contra Costa Fire, CAL FIRE – Butte Unit / Butte County FD and Central Marin FD.

Equipment

Aircraft have been dipping out of nearby Putah Creek.  Engines are drafting water out of the Lake Solano County Park.

Evacuations

Mandatory evacuations were in effect on Saturday for those in the area of Quail Canyon Road from Pleasants Valley Road to Hwy 128.   Evacuation shelter is located at 3 Oaks Community Center, 1100 Alamo Dr Vacaville, CA 95687.
