“Firefighters have been working around the clock, both day and night, in their continuous effort to contain this more than 400,000-acre wildfire.
Night has proven to be the best timeframe to successfully build line as fire activity generally decreases when the temperature drops and the humidity rises.
The day shift has been working diligently to hold established containment lines, by picking up spot fires and securing the fire’s edge.”
