Thank you for reading our post about one the newest Wildfires in Washington State. This fire was first stated this afternoon but it took us awhile to glean all the facts before letting you all know. We are all about trying to get it right the first time.

The Suncrest Fire started on Saturday, August 27th @ 1530 hours from an unknown cause. The fire is located just East of beautiful Leavenworth in Chelan County, Washington State.
Currently, the wildfire has consumed over 250 acres of brush, grass and timber. It is listed at a 0% containment status.
Current conditions are active fire behavior with a high ROS.
Level 3 Evacuations
Evacuations are in effect on the North side of North Road, from Fox Road to Anderson Canyon. The Public was asked not to enter the area unless you are a homeowner.
110 residents were at a Level 3 evacuation between Anderson Canyon and Fox Road.
60 residents were also at a Level 3 evacuation on the South side of the North Road.
Level 2 Evacuations
Police were going door-to-door for Level 2 evacuations in the Town of Peshastin and West to Anderson Canyon that also included Alpine View Estates on Chumstick.
Level 1 Evacuations
The Town of Peshastin to the West of Anderson Road.
Those who require a Deputy response are encouraged to call (509) 667-6863. We recommend to call them in you need assistance with evacuation assistance or have an urgent need and you are being affected by the fire.
The Main Verizon Cell Tower was said to be out of service and probably out for much of Leavenworth and Peshastin.
Chelan PUD sent out a message over Twitter that power had been restored to everyone in Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee areas.

Fire mobilization has been approved. Firefighters from the #SpokaneComplex wildfire are demobing from this incident and are being reassigned to this wildfire, #SuncrestFire.
Currently, this wildfire has 24 engines, 4 water tenders, 1 Type 1 rotor, 1 Type 2 rotor and 4 air tankers.
