EPHRATA, Wash. – Earlier in the wildfire stage (this video was uploaded at 1540 hours PDT), while fire crews and the Sheriff’s Office in Grant County mobilized their resources, residents took out their cameras and began shooting video.

Fire crews from Grant County Fire Districts 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13 and Ephrata Fire Department were kept busy battling an out-of-control wildfire on SR 17 and on High Hill, Grant County Sheriff Deputies are assisting with Level 3 (LEAVE NOW) evacuations.
At 2111 hours, a call out for manpower to respond to Station 1 as staging before heading out to the ICP on High Hills.
Level 3 (LEAVE NOW) evacuations were issued for all homes on the east side of SR 17 north from milepost 81 and south to Smokiam RV Park. They state the City of Soap Lake is safe from the wildfire.
Level 3 means you are in immediate danger. Take your pets, your family and load them up in your vehicle and GET OUT safely.
PLEASE do not stay behind. LEAVE when you are given orders. DO NOT put other lives in danger of them trying to protect yours.
