A wildfire named the GREENHOUSE FIRE, was reported at 1440 hours on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Near Mineral Ridge, southwest of Nespelem.
East of the Columbia River Road on the Colville Reservation in Washington State.
Active fire behavior continues from Thursday into Friday morning. It is expected to increase due to higher temps and increased winds.
2,500 acres. 20% containment.
Multiple homes, Nespelem Schoo, Colville Tribal Corrections Facility, Tribal Archives and Records and the Tribal Transfer Station are under direct threat.
Level 2 evacuations in effect for those living in the area between Catholic Cemetrery to Jackson Ranch and north of Nespelem on Hwy 155. Yesterday, 37 inmates from the Corrections center were evacuated under a Level 3 order from ttheir local facility due to heavy smoke. They are due to return today, if not already have done so.
Road and area closures are also in effect.
There are 60 personnel assigned with Colville Confederated Tribes as the Lead Fire Agency. They are being assisted by WA DNR Aviation, BIA, Okanogan County Emergency Management, Elmer City/Coulee Dam FD.
ICT3 currently in command. An IMT2, NW Team 6 (Sheldon) is mobilizing.

Several outbuildings including the Colville Tribal Recycling Facility burned.
