Public Information

Fire Managers and Law Enforcement are asking the Public from refraining in entering the area because of Fire equipment coming and going. They need space to work and with people in various areas will impede their fire suppression efforts.

Not mentioned, but please know that Drones can also impede air and ground resources.  You, as a Drone pilot can also contacted by Law Enforcement if you are flying in or around a fire.

(We have reached out to both Yakima County EOM which is reporting 660 acres and WA DNR reporting the size is 904 acres, which is a large difference between the two.  We are going by DNR’s numbers since they are the fire agency on this incident.)
